SUMMERFIELD, Fla. – A man found shot in a van in Marion County has died, deputies said on Tuesday.

Marion County sheriff's deputies said they were called about 4:15 p.m. Monday to a home at 8216 SE 147th Place in Summerfield. Deputies said they found William Lolley II suffering from gunshot wounds in a blue van that was parked outside the residence.

Lolley, 29, underwent surgery at a nearby hospital, but later died, officials said.

Witnesses told deputies that the shooting didn’t happen at the home, but occurred at a home about five minutes away. The shooting victim was driven from the site of the shooting to the 147th Place home by witnesses, deputies said.

Detectives interviewed people at both homes, and evidence technicians scoped both locations, deputies said.

No arrests have been made.
