ORLANDO, Fla.All lanes of Hiawassee Road near Kensington High Boulevard in Orlando were closed to traffic for several hours Wednesday evening while Florida Highway Patrol investigated a head-on car crash.

The FHP said an 18-year-old driver of a green minivan was traveling southbound on Hiawassee when she veered into northbound traffic.

A 35-year-old Orlando man traveling in the northbound lane while on his way home from work was hit by the minivan head-on.

Both drivers and a 16-year-old passenger of the minivan were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

Troopers said witnesses described the 18-year-old as driving erratic shortly before the crash.

The driver of the green minivan will be cited for traveling into oncoming traffic and driving with a learner's permit from New York with only the 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle.

All lanes of Hiawassee reopened shortly after 9 p.m.
