Pedestrian struck by SunRail train in Seminole, deputies say

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A pedestrian was hit and killed Friday evening by a SunRail train in Seminole County, the sheriff’s office said.

Seminole deputies said the crash at Old Lake Mary Road and Pedigo Point appears to be a suicide.

The Seminole County Fire Department responded to the scene at 6:40 p.m.

SunRail tweeted at 7:15 p.m. that trains P328 and P330 were suspended due to police activity. A bus was brought in to transport the remaining passengers.

Authorities provided no other information.
