Police: 2 arrested after 4 vehicles burglarized in Ocoee neighborhood

OCOEE, Fla. – Two people were arrested Friday after four car burglaries were reported in an Ocoee neighborhood, police said.

Ocoee police said a man called authorities around 5:50 a.m. after he saw two young men ransacking the car parked in the driveway of his home on Starke Lake Circle.

Police said Ramiro Sanchez, 18, and the juvenile suspect abandoned a stolen vehicle in front of the man's home before they fled. One of the men was found hiding in a nearby bush and the other was found in a shed, officers said.

Officers said multiple stolen items were found inside the stolen vehicle and police believe some of the items were from other burglaries.

A total of four car burglaries were reported in the neighborhood, according to police, and the pair is believed to be responsible for all of them. Each of the cars was unlocked, police said.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with auto theft and loitering and prowling, Ocoee police said. The juvenile suspect was charged with loitering and prowling, officers said.
