Help the Marion County Sheriff's Office name its new K-9 officer

Name suggestions can be submitted via Facebook, due by Aug. 17

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help in naming its newest K-9 officer. The Marion County Sheriff's Office Foundation was able to add the new officer to the family after donation for the community.

The newest member is a 17-month-old German shepherd from Slovakia, the sheriff's office said.

Name submissions can be made by commenting on the Facebook post announcement and all nominations are due by Aug. 17.

The winner will be announced on Friday.​
