Driving from Florida to Idaho: Great American Eclipse WKMG team coverage

For the first time in almost 100 years, a total solar eclipse crossed over a majority of the United States from South Carolina to Oregon. The News 6 digital team road-tripped from Orlando starting Aug. 17, along the path of total eclipse and ended in Idaho for the main event on Aug. 21.

Dubbed the Great American Eclipse, millions of people traveled to witness this astronomical event. More than 21 national parks lie in the path of totality, and hundreds of cities hosted thousands of visitors.
