Several shots fired into occupied Groveland home

No injuries reported in Sandhill Street shooting

GROVELAND, Fla. – Shots were fired into a Groveland home late Monday, but no one was injured, police said.

The shooting was reported at 9:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sandhill Street.

Groveland police said officers were called to the area and discovered that bullet casings were scattered in the street and many of the bullets had entered several parts of the home.

Police said the shooting might be related to a shooting the previous night in Clermont.

"We are asking residents in the Cranes Landing subdivisions to check their surveillance cameras for any possible suspects or vehicles during that period," Groveland police said in a news release.

Anyone with information about the shooting or possible shooters is asked to call 352-429-4166 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
