2 women critically hurt in St. Cloud stabbing

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – Two women are in critical condition Tuesday night after a stabbing in St. Cloud, police said.

The man believed to be responsible is in custody, officers with the St. Cloud Police Department posted on its Twitter page after 9 p.m.

Police said the suspect stabbed his ex-girlfriend and the woman’s adult daughter. They are in their 50s and 30s, respectively. The suspect is in his 40s, police said.

All three people were taken in for medical treatment. One of the victims is at the Osceola Regional Medical Center and the other is at the St. Cloud Regional Medical Center, police said.

Earlier in the night, residents were asked to stay clear of the area near Old Canoe Creek Road and Natchez Trace Drive.

The incident is believed to have been domestic in nature.
