PALM BAY, Fla. – A 71-year-old woman was struck and killed Friday by a motorist who was suffering from a medical condition in the parking lot of a RaceTrac in Palm Bay, officials said.
The crash, which involved three cars, was reported just after 8 a.m. at Babcock Street and Malabar Road at 8:06 a.m., police spokesman Lt. Mike Bandish said.
While parts of the parking lot were cordoned off, the gas station remained open.
The gas station has been busy as motorists fuel up in advance of Hurricane Irma.
