ORLANDO, Fla. – The American Integrity Insurance Company will bring a mobile “catastrophe unit” to the Orlando area next Monday, to help customers caught in the crossfire of Hurricane Irma.
The company will have a mobile office set up between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Orangewood Church,
located on 1300 Maitland Blvd. in Maitland.
Lisa Miller, former deputy insurance commissioner for the state, says the Orlando area took a solid hit in terms of storm damage beyond downed power lines.
Miller told News 6 that American Integrity Insurance Company has taken calls for roughly 300 claims in the Orlando area, so the company made the decision to bring a mobile unit to Orlando next week.
“They call them mobile emergency response vehicles,” she said. “And instead of their customers having to call and wait on phone lines, they are a forward-leaning company that wants to go to its customers.”
AII (American Integrity Insurance) has been all over the state according to Miller. “They know that a claim that’s handled expeditiously is a happy customer and better for everybody involved,” she said.
“Central Florida got snapped pretty badly, we have some shingles missing, we have some trees down,” said Miller. “We’ve not seen flattened houses like we’ve seen in Monroe County but you took a hit (but) nothing you can’t recover from.”
