Utility workers can now fish without a license until next June

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced on Friday that utility workers will be allowed to go freshwater and saltwater fishing license-free from until June 2018.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will accept utility workers' identification in lieu of a Florida fishing license during this period, according to the governor's office.
