ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was electrocuted while trimming trees in Orlando Wednesday afternoon, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies said the man, who has not been identified, was trimming trees on Hiawassee Oak Drive when he moved a ladder, which hit a power line and electrocuted him.
A nearby resident heard the man screaming and ran over to find a fire in the backyard, which was ignited during the electrocution. The resident said he burned his hands while trying to help, but it was too late.
A death investigation is underway.
