Man dead after motorcycle overturns in Marion County, troopers say

FHP: Joseph Bil, 21, was thrown from motorcycle onto grass shoulder

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A man is dead after being thrown to the ground when his motorcycle overturned Saturday morning in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. on County Road 326 near Northwest 150th Avenue.

Troopers said a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading west on County Road 326 when the rider, identified by the Florida Highway Patrol as Joseph Bil, 21, failed to maintain control of it as he exited the curve.

The motorcycle traveled in a northwesterly direction off the roadway onto the grass shoulder, where it overturned, troopers said. Bil was thrown from the motorcycle onto the grass shoulder on the north side.

Troopers said Bil was pronounced dead at the scene.
