Jurors to hear more recordings in Luis Toledo murder trial
Defense to also call witness during Monday's testimony
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Prosecutors are expected to play more recordings Monday between accused killer Luis Toledo and investigators.
Toledo, 35, is accused of killing 28-year-old Yessenia Suarez and her two children, Thalia Otto, 9, and Michael Otto, 8, in Volusia County on Oct. 23, of 2013. Their bodies have not been found.
Prosecutors on Thursday played video of recorded statements made by Toledo to detectives after the family’s disappearance. Investigators said he confessed to killing Suarez, but blamed a neighbor for the other two deaths.
The defense will also call a special witness from out of state during Monday's testimony.
