Crews to break ground on $100 million tower in downtown Orlando

26-story building is part of Church Street project

ORLANDO, Fla. – Crews will break ground Tuesday on the new Church Street Plaza in downtown Orlando.

Mayor Buddy Dyer will join developers of the tower at the ceremony along Church Street near I-4.

The 26-story, $100 million tower will include 217,000 square feet of office space, 7,500 feet of ground level retail and a 180-unit hotel. Crews plan to finish construction by late 2019.

Tuesday's groundbreaking ceremony will start at 3 p.m.
