TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers could see higher gas prices as soon as this week, according to AAA.
Experts with the agency say prices at the pump have fallen for 47 straight days. However, demand for gas last month was the highest for any October since 2006. The reduced supply could push prices higher in the coming days.
AAA is also forecasting record travel for the upcoming holiday season. The higher demand for gas through the end of the year has the potential to send prices up, as well.
The average price for gas in Orlando is among the lowest in Florida, at $2.29 per gallon. That's well below the statewide average of $2.39 and the $2.52 national average.
