Vehicle slams into guardrail in Orange County crash, officials say

Fire Rescue: At least 1 taken to hospital

ORLANDO, Fla. – At least one person was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Orlando, Orange County Fire Rescue said.

Fire Rescue officials said the crash took place around 5:50 p.m. near the intersection of State Road 429 and Avalon Road South.

One of the vehicles slammed into a guardrail and one person was trapped in the back seat, officials said.

At least one person was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, rescue crews said. Details on their condition were not immediately known.

All lanes of traffic were blocked following the crash.
