Well-known architect could help design Winter Park library

City commissioners to decide on design

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Leaders in Winter Park will decide Monday whether a world-renowned architect will help design the city's new library.

David Adjaye presented his design plan for the $30 million, 34,000-square foot building, which is set to be built on Morse Boulevard.

Adjaye was named one of Time Magazine's Most Influential People for 2017 and recently designed the Smithsonian's Museum of African American History.

The city commission meeting is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
