Man carjacked at Orlando Target, police say

Victim suffers minor injuries

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was carjacked Wednesday afternoon while cleaning out his car at a Target store on Millennia Plaza Way, according to the Orlando Police Department.

The victim told police a young male, possibly a teenager, approached him in the parking lot, hit him and took his vehicle.

Investigators told News 6 the victim suffered minor injuries, and he was rushed to the hospital to be checked out.

The carjacking happened during one of the busiest times for any grocery store -- the night before Thanksgiving.

The parking lot was full, and there was a line of cars waiting to get out.

"I was coming here to get some last-minute Thanksgiving food items," said Iraisia Mack, who said she shops at the Millenia Target store on a regular basis.

A Target spokesperson told News 6 that workers have turned over surveillance video to Orlando police investigators in hopes they can find the person who stole the man's car.

The carjacker has not been arrested and the vehicle has not been recovered.

Anyone who has information that can help Orlando police can call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
