The two may be in a silver four-door Dodge Dart with Florida tag DLLT42, according to the JSO.

Logan is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes. French is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall with blond hair and light-colored eyes.

Anyone who has seen the two or the vehicle -- or who has been in contact with either of them over the past three days -- is asked to call 911. The missing persons case is believed to be related to the large police presence, including crime scene units, in Neptune Beach, near Jacksonville.

About 9 p.m., Jacksonville and beach police blocked off Seagate Avenue, between Third and Fourth streets, near Fletcher Middle School and the Jacksonville Beach line (for those familiar with the area).

Two sources told our affiliate that the case involves a Jacksonville sheriff's officer's home. According to JSO sources close to News 6's news partner, News4Jax, along with online sources, Logan is the son of a JSO corrections lieutenant.

Police said firearms are also missing from a home associated with the two, so do not approach them or the car, if encountered.

Another investigation is underway, believed to be related to this one, on South Nipigon Avenue in Mayport, News4Jax said.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement sent out a missing child alert activation regarding this case just before 10:30 p.m
