Woman shot in bicep, Orlando police say

Injury not considered life-threatening

ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman was shot in the right bicep Thursday evening, officials with the Orlando Police Department said.

The shooting took place just after 6:20 p.m., on the corner of Poppy Avenue and Lilly Street, officers said. Investigators had the intersection shut down as of about 8:20 p.m.

The woman's injury is not considered life-threatening. She was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police haven’t made any arrests, nor have they released a confirmed physical description of a shooter.

Officers are still investigating.
