Would-be car thieves sought after plowing through dealership

Duo drove through fence at Enver's European Auto in Seminole County

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities in Seminole County are searching for would-be thieves who plowed through a fence at a car dealership late Sunday.

Deputies said at least two culprits drove through a fence at Enver's European Auto in an apparent robbery attempt.

The duo apparently got scared off, and it doesn't appear they got away with anything, deputies said.

Enver's European Auto owner Enver Fejzic showed News 6 surveillance video of the incident.

"They broke the glass on the one car and broke the  glass on the office," Fejzic said. "Most likely they were after the keys from the car and tried to steal the keys."

Even after the gate was broken it still would have prevented the thieves from getting out with a car, Fejzic said.

The incident occurred the same day two cars were stolen from Orlando Wholesalers in Maitland. A 2007 BMW and a 2006 Chevrolet HHR were in the shop for cleaning when they were stolen, police said.

The Chevrolet was later recovered. Thieves also stole a smart TV from the business office, according to the police report.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said a deputy spotted the damage at Enver's while investigating the theft at Orlando Wholesalers. Detectives believe the incidents are connected.

The culprits remain at large.
