18-year-old shot outside Orlando Wawa, deputies say

Gunman, 2nd assailant on the run

ORLANDO, Fla. – Crime scene tape and blue lights blocked off a Wawa on Semoran Boulevard Thursday night as investigators searched for evidence after a shooting in the parking lot around 7:45 p.m.

Deputies said an 18-year-old man was arguing with two other people when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the teen.

The other two then left the area in a car.

An employee who works at a Walgreens across the street said they heard car tires screeching out of the Wawa parking lot moments after the shots were fired.

"I'm really shocked, because we are outside of the back of Baldwin. It's a really nice area," said Aly Deiehl, who lives nearby and walks to the store every day. "It's kind of scary to know the people are still out and about."
