FHP: Motorcyclist, 18, dies after crashing into fire hydrant near UCF

Man wearing helmet when ejected from bike, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. – An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a crash near the University of Central Florida, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Ethan Binger, of Orlando, was riding his motorcycle west on University Boulevard near Suntree Boulevard around 11:15 p.m. when he veered off the road.

Binger's motorcycle struck a tree before crashing into a fire hydrant, troopers said.

He was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, the Highway Patrol said.

Binger was wearing a helmet, according to the crash report.

Troopers said the crash was still being investigated.
