All-clear after suspicious backpack found in Orange County, deputies say

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has given the all-clear after investigating a suspicious backpack on Southland Boulevard on Monday afternoon.

Deputies said a suspicious backpack was discovered at 11:07 a.m. behind the building and leaning up against the wall.

Deputies said the contents of the package were clothes in a suitcase.

The building and a nearby office were evacuated, and it was determined the backpack was not a hazard.

Deputies said the incident was cleared at 1:30 p.m.
