FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A man who was wanted on federal charges for selling and possessing cocaine and possessing a firearm was arrested on Sunday, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they went to a Palm Coast home after receiving information that Johnnie Spydale Thomas Jr. may be at the home.

The woman at the home told deputies that he was not home, but upon conducting a search they found Thomas in a bedroom closet.

Thomas Jr. was on the Flagler County Sheriff's Office top 10 fugitives list.

He is being charged with being fugitive from justice and failure to appear for a felony offense.

Thomas Jr. has no bail and the woman in the home, Jayla Teyanna Steward, who has a warrant for her arrest, was taken into custody on suspicion of violating her probation.

Steward is also being held on no bond.

“Another example of two agencies working together to get the bad guys off the streets,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “We were happy to assist ATF in the warrant service for Johnnie Thomas, and in return we located another Flagler fugitive to take into custody. Now both are booked into the Green Roof Inn.”
