Men accused of robbing Sanford convenience store at gunpoint, police say

SANFORD, Fla. – Two men have been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store Monday night, according to the Sanford Police Department.

A clerk at Kwik Stop on Orlando Drive told police he was working around 10:45 p.m. when a man came in, pointed a gun and stole a large amount of a cash before fleeing in a vehicle, a news release said.

Police said a witness was able to provide a description of  the getaway vehicle and officers used that description to track down Edwin Flores Rojas, 19, and A.T.M. Muketur Rahaman, 18.

Rojas is accused of robbing the clerk and Rahaman is accused of driving the getaway car after the crime.

Rojas is charged with robbery with a firearm, criminal mischief, grand larceny and committing a felony while wearing a mask. Rahaman is charged with robbery with a firearm. Both men are being held without bond.
