Titusville house fire kills two dogs

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Firefighters said they found two dogs that died during a house fire Tuesday morning in Titusville.

The blaze was reported about 9:10 a.m. at a home in the 500 block of Highland Terrace just north of South Street. Smoke was pouring from the home as firefighters arrived, Titusville Fire Battalion Chief Greg Sutton said.

No people were hurt, but the dogs didn't make it out, Sutton said.

Brevard County Fire Rescue assisted with the call.

The cause of the fire was not immediately available. The state fire marshal's office will investigate.
