UCF police issue alert after witnesses see man push woman into car

Police say woman was screaming for help

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Central Florida Police Department issued an alert after witnesses reported seeing a woman screaming for help as she ran away from a man who pushed her into a car and drove away.

Two students who live in the dorms told police they heard an altercation then looked out the window and saw a thin woman with long blonde hair wearing a bright pink shirt and leggings screaming for help as she ran away from a man near the loading dock behind Tower 3 near Gemini Boulevard.

The woman screamed as the man pushed her into the backseat of the silver four-door sedan, which then drove away, the alert said.

The man had brown hair and was wearing a dark hoodie, according to authorities.

Police said they canvassed the area, knocked on dorm doors in Tower 3 and checked for surveillance footage. The vehicle involved in the incident was identified as a silver Ford Fusion, but it has not been located.

"We do not know whether a crime occurred, but the report is concerning, and we are taking it seriously," the alert read.
