LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A man died Wednesday afternoon after crashing his pickup truck into a tree in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
David Cheek, 58, was driving his 2003 Ford pickup truck eastbound on County Road 42 when he left the roadway to the right, then overcorrected and overturned, the report said.

The truck struck a tree on the north shoulder and Cheek was ejected, according to troopers. Cheek was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
