2 men found shot to death outside 407 Smoke Shop in Orlando

Gunman wearing gray hoodie spotted leaving scene, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two men were found shot to death late Wednesday outside a smoke shop in Orlando, police said.

The shooting was reported at 11:23 p.m. outside the 407 Smoke Shop at 4316 Curry Ford Road.

"My sister usually opens the store around 8 in the morning, and she come here to open the store and she find out that there's police around all over the property," said Harry Patel, manager at 407 Smoke Shop.

Patel has worked at the business for about 10 years. He told News 6 he's just as surprised about the shooting as anyone.

"We have like 30 years here. We have never happened like that. This is the first time, so it's shocking what happened. I have no clue what's going on last night," Patel said.

Orlando police said officers were called to the shop and found one man dead in the parking lot. While securing the scene, another man was found dead, police said.

"A possible male suspect was observed fleeing the scene, wearing a gray hoodie and jeans, armed with a gun," police said.

The store reopened around 11 a.m. Thursday. The shooting didn't deter customers from stopping by.

"I'm not surprised either. I see some people trying to sell or buy whatever," customer Jose Perez said.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call OPD or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.

An investigation is ongoing.
