2 pit bulls bite 3 people at Tuscawilla Park, police say

Second time in two months pit bulls involved in incident


DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach police said they confiscated two pit bulls that bit three people at Tuscawilla Park on Sunday afternoon. 

Daytona Beach police said the dogs had escaped from their property.

One of the victims, a man, is at Halifax Hospital after he was bitten on his arms and legs. Details of his condition were not released.

Police said the dogs were seized from the 200 block of Seneca Boulevard and were taken to Halifax Humane Society, where they will be kept in a 10-day bite quarantine.

Officials said just last month the owners of the same dogs were cited after the pit bulls cornered a man in his truck.

The owners of the dogs are a mother and daughter.
