DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –  Authorities say a 9-year-old girl suffered minor injuries when she was hit by a car on a Florida beach.
The accident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Daytona Beach Shores.

Volusia County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue says the girl darted out and ran into the front side of the vehicle. She left the beach with her parents and she was not transported by ambulance.
Officials say no charges are expected against the driver.
