SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Officials on Thursday night looked into the circumstances surrounding what they deemed to be a suspicious package found near an AT&T store at FL-436 and Oxford Road.

After a short investigation, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team determined the package was safe. It contained paper, and nothing hazardous, officials said.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office and the Casselberry Police Department had requested that people avoid the area as authorities investigated.

FL-436 was at one point shut down, but it reopened just before 10 p.m.
