Man, woman found in vehicle after reports of shooting

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities are investigating after a shooting Monday afternoon left two people in critical condition, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they received multiple calls around 4 p.m. about a shooting near World Drive and I-4. When deputies arrived, they found a man and woman inside a silver vehicle, the Sheriff's Office said.

"They came across a silver vehicle with two victims, two adult victims," said Maj. Jacob Ruiz, with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. "We don't know, you know, exactly why were they here in this area of World Drive, if they were coming from a theme park or they were just from the area."

Deputies said Tuesday that the shooting was the result of a domestic incident. Jorge Luis Garcia, 32, was in the passenger's seat when he got into an argument with the woman who was driving and shot her while she was behind the wheel, a news release said.

The woman stopped the vehicle and flagged down passersby for help before she collapsed on the roadway. Deputies said Garcia then shot himself.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the woman was in stable condition and Garcia was in critical condition.
