SWAT standoff ends after man barricades himself in Taft home

Deputies attempted to serve warrant at house on 2nd Street

TAFT, Fla. – Tear gas was used to end a six-hour SWAT standoff at a Taft home.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the incident took place Tuesday morning in the 200 block of 2nd Street.

Sheriff's officials said deputies were attempting to serve a warrant to Raymond Sanchez Volblech, 42, when he ran to a home next door and barricaded himself inside.

The warrant was for a parole violation, according to officials, who said Voblech has a criminal history that includes arrests for grand theft and property crimes.

No injuries were reported.
