According to craftbeer.com, an American craft brewery is small, independent and traditional.
Its annual production has to be 6 million barrels of beer or less.
Being independent means less than 25 percent of the brewery is owned by a member that is not a craft brewer.
And to be considered traditional, its flavors have to derive from traditional or innovative brewing ingredients and their fermentation.
