ORLANDO, Fla. – Friday marks the last day that John Mina will be the Orlando chief of police.
Mina, who's running for Orange County sheriff, tweeted side-by-side photos of himself on his first and last days on the job.

"Serving this community that I love has been the greatest honor of my life," Mina tweeted.
Mina has worked at OPD for 27 years and was appointed as chief on April 1, 2014.
Earlier this month, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer appointed Orlando Rolon to replace Mina as police chief.
Rolon, a 25-year veteran of OPD, will become the first Hispanic police chief for the city.
“I don’t take this responsibility lightly," Rolon said. "I will wake up every day committed to serving and protecting our community. Thank you for this honor.”
Mina is running against Joe Lopez and Darryl Sheppard in his quest to become Orange County sheriff.
