'Happiest girl in the world:' Mom thanks UCF quarterback for giving daughter his hat

ORLANDO, Fla. – University of Central Florida quarterback McKenzie Milton made a child "the happiest girl in the world" after signing and giving his hat to her after Saturday's game. 

The girl's mom, Jan Garcias, tweeted a photo of her daughter Brittany posing with Milton after the game and of Brittany sleeping with the hat on her pillow.

She tweeted, "He made her the happiest girl in the world today after the game by giving her his hat and signing it."

Milton said meeting Brittany made him realize there is more to football than just the game.

"It was unbelievable to see that tweet later that night, you know, it just warms my heart that I can have that effect on a person," he said.

Garcias also tweeted that her daughter told her Milton was her hero and that it was priceless.

 

 

Garcias tweeted Brittany wants to bring Milton a cake for this weekend's upcoming game. The Knights will take on Cincinnati on Saturday for ESPN's College Gameday matchup.
