HOLLY HILL, Fla. – A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in Holly Hill, police said.
Officials said Matthew Schuchman, 21, of Daytona Beach, died in the crash, which was reported around 6:10 p.m., at the intersection of Mason Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue.
Police said the driver of a Saturn SUV made a U-turn from the eastbound lanes of Mason to go west on Mason, at Ridgewood Avenue, according to the Holly Hill Police Department.
Schuchman, who was operating a Honda motorcycle, was traveling westbound on Mason Avenue and hit the back of the SUV, police said. He was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
