Fiesta Bowl tickets still available for UCF students

Students camp out overnight

ORLANDO, Fla. – A limited number of student tickets for the Fiesta Bowl were still available Tuesday night as the Knights prepared to take on the LSU Tigers in Arizona on New Year's Day.

Hundreds of University of Central Florida students stood in line outside Spectrum Stadium early Tuesday morning, hoping to snag one of the first 200 free tickets to the game.

"We were out here at noon yesterday," said Emily Schaul, a UCF student who camped out overnight.

"We're driving cross-country 30 hours for this. It's going to be so much fun," Schaul's friend said.

The remaining 300 student tickets, which require a UCF student ID to purchase and cannot be resold, cost $50.

The UCF Knights finished their second consecutive undefeated season Saturday by defeating the University of Memphis Tigers 56-41.
