OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an accident between a car and a pedestrian in Osceola County that left a 52-year-old woman dead.
Troopers said Dorothy Brown was walking across Pleasant Hill Road near Sun Cove Drive when a Toyota, driven by Luis Rivera, 19, struck her.

FHP officials said there was not an intersection or crosswalk where the woman was attempting to cross the street
The woman died of her injuries, troopers said.
The crash is still under investigation.
