Man fatally shot at Clermont apartment complex, police say

Victim identified as 24-year-old Dominic Dionisio Marquez

CLERMONT, Fla. – Authorities have located a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a man at a Clermont apartment complex.

The 24-year-old Winter Springs man, identified as Dominic Dionisio Marquez, was shot several times Wednesday night at the SunDance apartments on Johns Lake Road.

Clermont police said Marquez was found lying in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

According to police, witnesses said three vehicles sped away from the area after shots were fired.

The vehicles were described as a silver car, a black car and a red or burgundy car. Police said Thursday that all vehicles had been located and that they were no longer searching for any other vehicles in connection with the shooting.

Investigators said they are working with the person of interest, whose name has not been released, to learn more about what led up to the shooting.
