Orlando police said the woman reported a man, possibly her boyfriend, was following her and near her car. The woman said she then heard gunshots, according to police.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police later identified the man as 25-year-old Antoine Hunter.

A man and woman who identified themselves as the victim's uncle and aunt told News 6 there was a fight between the victim and his ex-girlfriend leading up to the fatal shooting.

"He has a big family that loves him and that we are going to miss him and he was murdered, like he was murdered, murdered for no reason," the victim's aunt Diane Carter said.

The unidentified shooter fled the scene after the shooting.

Around the same time, the administration at Rosement Elementary School, which is just more than a mile from Cinderlane Parkway, issued a lockout at the school due to police activity nearby. During a lockout, no one is allowed on or off campus, the principal said in a voice message sent to parents.

The principal said the activity was unrelated to the school and the lockout was lifted a short time later.

No other details have been released.
