News 6 staffers teamed up against the Altamonte All Stars on Saturday for a game of softball with yearly bragging rights on the line.

At Eastmonte Park, Team News 6 was no match for the All Stars, losing for the 37th-straight year.

On the mound for News 6 was sports director Jamie Seh. Timely hitting and a porous News 6 defense put the All Stars up big early.

Sports anchor Ryan Welch was brought in to try and stop the offensive onslaught, but the Altamonte All Stars went on to crush the News 6 squad 37 to nothing. Only the mercy rule prevented the score from being worse.

The smiles on the triumphant Altamonte All Stars as they were presented the game trophy by Matt Austin say it all.

News 6 would like to give a special thank-you to Doug Hill and his team from the Altamonte Springs Publix for being a great partner and providing lunch after the game.
