DeLAND, Fla. – A suicidal man was taken into custody Wednesday morning in DeLand, deputies said.
Volusia County sheriff's deputies closed U.S. 92 near West Parkway in DeLand on Wednesday morning because of a man with a weapon who had threatened to kill himself, according to authorities.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, the man called authorities around 2 a.m. and was located in a car at a gas station along U.S. 92.
Eastbound U.S. 92 was closed near West Parkway, and traffic was re-routed at Kepler Avenue.
No injuries were reported.
