A SWAT team was sent into the Ocean Breeze Club Hotel at 640 North Atlantic Ave. to confront the man inside the hotel.

After reports of a grenade, officials evacuated the hotel and shut down State Road A1A for safety.

Officials determined by use of drone that the grenade the man had was not real.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., the man asked for a soda to be left outside his room. When he came out of his room to get the drink, authorities shocked him with a Taser gun, and he was taken into custody.

Officials said normal traffic flow in the area should resume shortly.
