DELAND, Fla. – The DeLand Police Department said a woman was found dead inside a home in the 800 block of North Arlington Avenue Thursday night.
A CSI Unit responded to the scene, according to News 6 reporter Troy Campbell.
A section of North Arlington Avenue has been closed off.
Police said it appears she had been dead for more than 24 hours when officers got to the scene.
Investigators said when officers arrived to the scene they found an older man still alive, but he may have been intoxicated at the home.
He was taken to a nearby hospital, according to police.
