SANFORD, Fla. - A second man was arrested on attempted homicide charges in a Sanford drive-by shooting that occurred last month.

Ricardo Vergara-Salazar, 21, was arrested earlier this week in the shooting, which occurred April 22 in the 2500 block of Elm Street.  Sanford police on Thursday said Irwin Loenel Villabolos, 21, was also arrested.

According to Sanford police, people were outside the Elm Street home when a dark two-door Honda pulled up and shots were fired at the group and the home.  A man was struck in the shoulder and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Just prior to that shooting, shots were fired at a home at 1404 East 20th Street.  No one was injured there, however.

Sanford police said the culprits were identified during an investigation.
