4 teens suspected of burglarizing Target, leading police chase

LCSO: Playstations, TV, jewelry stolen from store

LADY LAKE, Fla. – Gabriel Longley, 18, Cameo Dixon, 16, and two other juveniles were taken into custody after burglarizing a Target store early Sunday morning, Lake County deputies said.

The Lady Lake Police Department received a call from security personnel at a Target in Lady Lake. Deputies said the security personnel told Lady Lake police that four suspects were seen on camera breaking into the store and taking items from various departments. The suspects then fled the store.

A Lady Lake officer attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects fled, according to the incident report. A Lake County deputy then went to the area and was able to stop the car the suspects were in using stop sticks. Two of the suspects were arrested, while the other two fled on foot, deputies said. A K-9 deputy later tracked the pair to a dumpster in which they were hiding. The suspects surrendered without incident.

Deputies said the vehicle the suspects fled in had been reported stolen out of Orange County. Four PlayStation 4 gaming consoles,a television and jewelry were all recovered from the vehicle.

All four suspects were transported to the Lake County Jail on charges of burglary, grand theft, fleeing and eluding, and grand theft auto, the Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities are investigating whether these suspects are responsible for similar burglaries at other Targets in central Florida.
